Group Colleague Forum

Kick Off

Hi Everyone,

We want to take the opportunity to introduce ourselves as your Group Colleague Forum representatives and share an update on our first colleague forum meeting which took place last week. As you can see, all Group Functions are represented. We do still have a couple of colleague rep vacancies. If you are from this area of the business and would like to get involved, please let one of us know.

We are one of four colleague forum teams. The others are in Kinmel Ops, Logistics and Thirsk Ops. Our remit is to make central functions a great place to work as well as consider any initiatives that would impact all IPN colleagues (not just Central Functions), for example a policy change or what we would like to hear about in our colleague communications. For this reason, we also have representatives / vacancies from our manufacturing units and logistics too. This ensures that our colleagues across all IPN areas have their say too.

We met for the first-time last week and were asked to bring one or two things that would make a positive difference to our colleagues and what we would like to do to improve on these. We then narrowed this down to a shortlist of themes and this will now be our focus area for the next few months. These are:

  1. Colleague Communications (Louise leading)
  2. Our Space (Kathryn leading)
  3. Health, Wellbeing and Inclusion (Hannah leading)
  4. Colleague Recognition (Jorden leading)

We’ll be spending the next couple of weeks adding a bit more detail and building an implementation plan against each of these. We’ll share this with you as soon possible. If you have a preference on how you would like to receive updates or if you have any ideas on making IPN a great place to work, please let us know. In the meantime, you can keep updated on “The Colleague Hub” on our intranet.

We will meet fortnightly whilst we build our team momentum, and we may then change the frequency to monthly. We are trying to meet face to face, but there will always be the option of teams for those of us who need to attend virtually.
